Zanja Abierta FC's Prospero Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Lamberto in the 3rd minute of play. Tommy Aarrebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Joseph having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Lamberto in the 8th minute of play forced Zanja Abierta FC's goalkeeper Prospero Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Gutierrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tommy Aarrebo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Misfits FC's Prudencio Berdaitz got a free kick in the 11th minute. Tommy Aarrebo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Gutierrez in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Agustin Abadia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Gamus during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zanja Abierta FC booed when Misfits FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Rodolfo Banegas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Misfits FC's Tommy Aarrebo didn't even have to move. In the 31st minute, Aaron Lamberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Zanja Abierta FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Lidon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Macias got free with Prospero Joseph in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Prospero Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Damian Transito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Aaron Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Misfits FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zanja Abierta FC were winning 0-1.

Flavio Gutierrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Aarrebo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Zanja Abierta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Transito to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Macias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prospero Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Lamberto in the 66th minute of play. Aaron Lamberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Prospero Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
