When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Generoso Mergildo sped through Sanlo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nemesio Mateus. Sanlo's Nemesio Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Iratze in the 21st minute of play. Generoso Mergildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Sanlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Efraim to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Alejandro Bidun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 minutes, Florencio Miro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanlo and the Deportivo Esquel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nemesio Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Mergildo in the 38th minute of play. Marcelino Iratze took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Mateus. Nemesio Mateus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 42 minutes, Amadeo Eguen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sanlo and the Deportivo Esquel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Generoso Mergildo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Mateus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Generoso Mergildo took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Mateus. Nemesio Mateus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Amadeo Eguen made the kick off in the second half. Generoso Mergildo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Nemesio Mateus 54 minutes into the match. Deportivo Esquel's Generoso Mergildo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Mergildo in the 63rd minute of play forced Sanlo's goalkeeper Nemesio Mateus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sanlo's Alejandro Bidun got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Sanlo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Romeo Ursino scored to the left of an out of position Nemesio Mateus, making the score, 0-6. Generoso Mergildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Mateus having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Cordareo got free with Nemesio Mateus in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Generoso Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nemesio Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Luzaide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sanlo's Teodosio Efraim got a free kick in the 81st minute. Generoso Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nemesio Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nemesio Mateus didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Deportivo Esquel's Generoso Mergildo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-7 in the ordered_time% minute. If Generoso Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Deportivo Esquel booed when Sanlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Esquel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sanlo.
