Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5311, Seating: 1628, VIP seats: 140) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Honorio Machado kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Walme. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Herena got free with Erubiel Eder in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Giro having to interfere. Serafin Sayvion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Giro having to interfere. Banfield's attentive Robustiano Astudillo managed to snatch the ball when Siro Bras made a throw-in in the 10th minute of the game. Serafin Sayvion kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Leonides Herena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Erubiel Eder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto Walme struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Emanuel Giro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banfield. Guido's Emanuel Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Mannie in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Leonides Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Eder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafin Sayvion scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Giro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute Rafael Basualdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Giro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes, Banfield's Camilo Jakobe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Giro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Banfield reached it. Guido's Emanuel Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Walme in the 42nd minute of play. Emanuel Giro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Sayvion in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Sayvion in the 46th minute of play forced Guido's goalkeeper Emanuel Giro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Giro came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield's Eriberto Walme. But to his dismay, Eriberto Walme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Banfield were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafin Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eleuterio Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Walme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Giro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Lucas Mannie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Machado in the 63rd minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Erubiel Eder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banfield's Lucas Mannie suffered a concussion in the 64th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Laureano Domiku fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guido's protests and gave Laureano Domiku a yellow card for diving instead. Banfield made a substitution. Pastor Cedro replaced Lucas Mannie. After 65 played minutes Guido got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Domiku. Eriberto Walme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Emanuel Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Honorio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florencio Ekain hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rafael Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Basualdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Giro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eriberto Walme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Banfield's Erubiel Eder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Blai in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Herena came free, but Erubiel Eder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Giro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 85 minutes of play, Banfield's Serafin Sayvion made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Giro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, Banfield's Eriberto Walme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Giro. Emanuel Giro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. 96 minutes into the match, Rafael Basualdo notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Guido's Emanuel Giro. Emanuel Giro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Guido fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Banfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
