Herminio Santxol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Berdoi having to interfere. Esteve Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Aztores short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Victorio Berdoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Gotzon got free with Victorio Berdoi in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Oroño were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Chacabuco's much stronger midfield.
