If Andres Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Evarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute, Guaberto Aurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Birjaio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Guaberto Aurre fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 77th minute, Cristo Ladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute, Teodosio Vedillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Estefan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Camilo Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Richie, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naglis Jacys in the 86th minute of play forced Maquito FC's goalkeeper Camilo Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
