Celso Cugat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Oliverio in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, fortin63 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Tolino to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 9 minutes, Godfredo Medero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Russell FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Medero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfredo Medero might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Cugat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfredo Medero ran back to his position shaking his head. If Arnulfo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 17 minutes into the match, Russell FC's Godfredo Medero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Cugat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Godfredo Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, fortin63's Albino Medina got a free kick in the 24th minute. A hard shot 25 in the game by Godfredo Medero from a close distance when the talented Celso Cugat managed to make a qualified save. fortin63's players were relieved. Godfredo Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Cugat having to interfere. A collision led to fortin63 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sergio Tolino hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Russell FC's Pastor Oliverio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Cugat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Godfredo Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Cugat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Perrando couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Medero made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, fortin63's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Oliverio came free, but Celso Cugat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Russell FC booed when fortin63 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, fortin63's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Medero came free, but Celso Cugat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes fortin63 got a freekick which was hit by Albino Medina. 63 minutes into the match, Godfredo Medero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Cugat. fortin63's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Medero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Jairo Rito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Cugat having to interfere. Godofredo Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Celso Cugat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Pastor Oliverio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Cugat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Tolino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Abelardo Hermelando made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Medero in the 82nd minute of play forced fortin63's goalkeeper Celso Cugat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfredo Medero in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Cugat saved fortin63 from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in fortin63's zone, Pastor Oliverio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Cugat came out of the goal and Pastor Oliverio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as fortin63's Sergio Tolino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Hermelando. That made the score 2-1 after 92 minutes of play. When the referee ended the match the Russell FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
