Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Macondo's Elpidio Ovando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Cirilo Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermelando Torio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Gaston Chico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Macondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Urdaspal came free, but Hermelando Torio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Macondo's zone, Teofilo Ubelteso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermelando Torio came out of the goal and Teofilo Ubelteso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Macondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Urdaspal came free, but Hermelando Torio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Chico kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Teofilo Ubelteso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macondo's Hermelando Torio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Javier Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Cipriano Javiero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermelando Torio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Hermelando Torio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Urdaspal in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Teofilo Ubelteso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macondo's Hermelando Torio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cirilo Urdaspal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cirilo Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Urdaspal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Macondo's Hermelando Torio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Macondo from getting a goal against them. When Teofilo Ubelteso came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Alcorta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofilo Ubelteso couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 59 in the game by Cirilo Urdaspal from a close distance when the talented Hermelando Torio managed to make a qualified save. Macondo's players were relieved. Hermelando Torio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Ubelteso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Cirilo Urdaspal could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Hermelando Torio however easily saved by the left post. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Macondo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flavio Napier was slow to take the kick. During this time Alcorta AFC's players had a chance to rest. Alcorta AFC's Flavio Napier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hermelando Torio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 69th minute, Juliano Kayser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Macondo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alcorta AFC made a substitution. Alejandro Quirze replaced Laurens Diest. Hermelando Torio made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cirilo Urdaspal sent off a good shot on target. After 76 played minutes Macondo got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Loramendi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cirilo Urdaspal got free with Hermelando Torio in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juliano Kayser kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Macondo's goalkeeper Hermelando Torio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cirilo Urdaspal. After a defensive mix-up in Macondo's zone, Cirilo Urdaspal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a little luck, Macondo's Hermelando Torio got control of the ball when Cirilo Urdaspal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Macondo's goalkeeper Hermelando Torio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Ubelteso. In the 93rd minute, Cirilo Urdaspal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hermelando Torio, passed just outside the right post. When Cirilo Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Alcorta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. Alcorta AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Macondo had won, even though Alcorta AFC had held more of the ball.
