The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliseo Eduino made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cleto Tercero sent off a good shot on target. Sixto Lizardi's late challenge caught a Galacticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixto Lizardi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute Rogelio Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Eguerdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Eguerdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from František Miko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Tercero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Epifanio Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Clis in the 54th minute of play. When Armando Laurentzi fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oliva AFC's protests and gave Armando Laurentzi a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Oliva AFC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Laurentzi. Severo Cuarto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Eguerdi having to interfere. Epifanio Eguerdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Herena in the 64th minute of the match. Eliseo Eduino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Tercero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Pelagius in the 73rd minute of play forced Galacticos FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Eduino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Galacticos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galacticos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
