The audience was convinced that Aquilino Bernard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Epifanio Eguerdi was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 7th minute, Armando Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Laurentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Ellande having to interfere. Camilo Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of High Team booed when Oliva AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Pelagius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Epifanio Eguerdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquilino Bernard's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Epifanio Eguerdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Bernard in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Oliva AFC defense, Camilo Salomon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Eguerdi. The Oliva AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Eguerdi should have stopped the shot. High Team's Teobaldo Jacob got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquilino Bernard in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Eguerdi saved Oliva AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Oliva AFC booed when High Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Tercero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Oliva AFC's zone, Camilo Salomon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Eguerdi came out of the goal and Camilo Salomon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Aquilino Bernard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Epifanio Eguerdi. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. Feliberto Checa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Epifanio Eguerdi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquilino Bernard in the 60th minute. High Team's attentive Hilario Lorien managed to snatch the ball when Feliberto Checa made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. Aquilino Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, High Team's Aquilino Bernard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Eguerdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, High Team's Aquilino Bernard got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 79 played minutes Oliva AFC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Checa. Aquilino Bernard in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Epifanio Eguerdi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 88 minutes into the game, High Team's Aquilino Bernard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Eguerdi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cleto Tercero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Aquilino Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. High Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Bernard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
