Aquiles Kiliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Matará FC's Ricardo Martxot got control of the ball when Orlando Oalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Ildefonso Ferrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Matará FC booed when Once AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Carlomagno didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Once AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Emanuel Abechuco hit a great ball.

The tension between the Once AFC and the Matará FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Once AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Presebal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matará FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
