The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Salvador Toribio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Salvador Toribio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Todor having to interfere. A collision led to Pillahuincó AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dario Ler hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Jurgi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moises Fidele was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Dario Ler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pillahuincó AFC booed when C.A.Fierro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Dantel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Fidele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Ler in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Pillahuincó AFC's Dario Ler made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moises Fidele was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Marcelo Jurgi made a precise shot to the right of Moises Fidele. C.A.Fierro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Marcelo Jurgi struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Moises Fidele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pillahuincó AFC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 63 minutes, Bruno Dantel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Fierro and the Pillahuincó AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, C.A.Fierro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Dantel to maneuver through the defense. C.A.Fierro's Moises Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Jurgi in the 64th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Bonifacio Beturian managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 69th minute, Pillahuincó AFC's Marcelo Jurgi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Moises Fidele. Moises Fidele yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 74th play minute Dario Ler came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Moises Fidele. 0-4. Moises Fidele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Jurgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Honorato Quirce scored 1-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melchor Todor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Pillahuincó AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bonifacio Beturian hit a great ball. Dario Ler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Moises Fidele when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Pillahuincó AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A.Fierro throughout the match.
