An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Rodolfo Arias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gogo Matro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Gilberto Aballe 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of correntinos booed when Plasma Relampago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Eneko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes, Luisito Eneko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plasma Relampago and the correntinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Luisito Eneko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. correntinos's Gilberto Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Lluques in the 35th minute of play. Rodolfo Arias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gilberto Aballe came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodolfo Arias slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. Luisito Eneko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilberto Aballe. correntinos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gogo Matro to strike the kick off in the second half. Gogo Matro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Aballe having to interfere. German Abechuco kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 76 played minutes correntinos got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mosen. After having played for 77 minutes, Rodolfo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plasma Relampago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, German Abechuco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gilberto Aballe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Plasma Relampago booed when correntinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Pio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Gogo Matro notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of correntinos's Gilberto Aballe. Gilberto Aballe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the correntinos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Plasma Relampago.
