Cipoletti's Konstanty Smolarek got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Leonides Quilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Joldea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cipoletti were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ramiro Flor might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Dalmu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Konstanty Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. But to his dismay, Ramiro Flor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ferdinand Joldea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Froilan Jayvier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Deportivo Austral's Froilan Jayvier got control of the ball when Konstanty Smolarek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amador Crescencio hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The Cipoletti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 97 minutes into the game, Deportivo Austral's Ramiro Flor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Dalmu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4.
