With an all-out effort, Churqui AFC's Osvaldo Lawrence threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Israel Montae, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Primitivo Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Lawrence having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Osvaldo Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Montae, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Israel Montae blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldo Lawrence having to make a save.
