Jeronimo Vincente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonso Mendebal went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Punua AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Norberto Duarte hit a great ball. Gaspar Montrelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Tino having to interfere. Ezequiel Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Punua AFC's Norberto Duarte got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute of the match, Alfonso Mendebal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeronimo Vincente saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Dalmacio Mincho fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sureño Sporting Club's protests and gave Dalmacio Mincho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Sureño Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Mincho to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Urtungo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jeronimo Vincente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punua AFC. Punua AFC's Ezequiel Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Hernando in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Sureño Sporting Club booed when Punua AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Gutierrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sureño Sporting Club's zone, Alfonso Mendebal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Vincente came out of the goal and Alfonso Mendebal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Mendebal to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Lobo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Laureano Baumar fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sureño Sporting Club's protests and gave Laureano Baumar a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sureño Sporting Club! Armando Lobo got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 74 minutes into the match, Francisco Raitin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Sureño Sporting Club's Jeronimo Vincente. Jeronimo Vincente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Punua AFC had won after a very even match.
