After 2 played minutes Bermejo got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Brion. When Blas Salbatore fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bermejo's protests and gave Blas Salbatore a yellow card for diving instead. 4 minutes into the game, one of Bermejo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Laferrere. Javier Timo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ovidio Aragones. 1-0. Victorino Hats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ovidio Aragones made a huge save. In the 13thth minute of the game Anibal Inocente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bermejo's Ovidio Aragones was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bermejo's zone, Aaron Cortez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Aragones came out of the goal and Aaron Cortez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bermejo's Alonzo Goizeder got a free kick in the 21st minute. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Laferrere's Ovidio Aragones threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anibal Inocente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Silvio Bazkoare took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Mosen. Osvaldo Mosen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Brion in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Mosen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34thth minute of the game Anibal Inocente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bermejo's Ovidio Aragones was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Silvio Bazkoare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Deportivo Laferrere's Anibal Inocente in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bermejo's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Inocente was the one to do the kick off. Anibal Barrionuevo's late challenge caught a Deportivo Laferrere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Barrionuevo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Anibal Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Inocente struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ovidio Aragones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Laferrere. In the 56th minute Anibal Inocente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Aragones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Aragones came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Laferrere's Anibal Inocente. But to his dismay, Anibal Inocente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Bernardo Txindoki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Deportivo Laferrere booed when Bermejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Inocente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th match minute, Bermejo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Brion to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Anibal Inocente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidio Aragones was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Bonifacio Fiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Osvaldo Mosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ovidio Aragones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Laferrere's Anibal Inocente got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Aaron Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Laferrere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovidio Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Inocente in the 93rd minute of play. Anibal Inocente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Aragones having to interfere. There was no doubt that Deportivo Laferrere were the better team. Deportivo Laferrere's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
