Piñeyro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petroquimica the free kick. 3 minutes into the game, one of Piñeyro FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 9 minutes into the match, Piñeyro FC's goalkeeper Arturo Hulberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Mosen. In the 10th minute, Petroquimica's Manuel Dantae dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the last second Arturo Hulberto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Iker Librado in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 15th minute, Erasmo Mosen made a precise shot to the right of Arturo Hulberto. Piñeyro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Arturo Hulberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Dantae in the 19th minute. Petroquimica's Ciro Ubendu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. John Giöck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute of the match, Manuel Dantae got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arturo Hulberto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arturo Hulberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Giöck's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Arturo Hulberto made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Manuel Dantae sent off a good shot on target. John Giöcks short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Arturo Hulberto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ciro Ubendu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Hulberto having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Ciro Ubendu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petroquimica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piñeyro FC the free kick. Ciro Ubendu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Arturo Hulberto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alberto Horado's late challenge caught a Piñeyro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Horado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Alberto Horado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute John Giöck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Giöck in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Giöck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ciro Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Piñeyro FC's zone, John Giöck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Hulberto came out of the goal and John Giöck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Dantae in the 55th minute of play forced Piñeyro FC's goalkeeper Arturo Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ciro Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Petroquimica fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Petroquimica's John Giöck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When John Giöck came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Petroquimica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Giöck couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Mosen in the 71st minute of play forced Piñeyro FC's goalkeeper Arturo Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Giöck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Arturo Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Erasmo Mosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Hulberto came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Petroquimica's Manuel Dantae. But to his dismay, Manuel Dantae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. When Petroquimica's John Giöck in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piñeyro FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute, Manuel Dantae ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Hulberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. If John Giöck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Horado in the 90th minute of play forced Piñeyro FC's goalkeeper Arturo Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Hulberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Giöck, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Petroquimica had played much better football throughout.
