Siro Moise charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siro Moise the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Palomar FC's Christian Felice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Pirro in the 10th minute of play. After 18 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Celso Macario. 21 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Elímar Ráðgeirsson came free, but Tobias Eneto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. River Plate's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 43 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Elímar Ráðgeirsson came free, but Tobias Eneto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Pirro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tobias Eneto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elímar Ráðgeirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Elímar Ráðgeirsson made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Elímar Ráðgeirsson put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Eneto. In the 68th minute, Palomar FC's Renzo Saravia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Jimeno Pirro took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Felice. Christian Felice dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The supporters of River Plate booed when Palomar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Garoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. River Plate made a substitution. Marek Sagan replaced Jimeno Pirro. After 78 played minutes Palomar FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Garoa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Sagan in the 79th minute of play forced Palomar FC's goalkeeper Christian Felice to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Marek Sagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Felice saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Marek Sagan made a precise shot to the right of Christian Felice. Palomar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. In the 93rd match minute, Palomar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elímar Ráðgeirsson to maneuver through the defense.
