The Cañas F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. With a little luck, Huanqueros FC's Anastasio Calixto got control of the ball when Alejo Jurgi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute Bartolo Jeraldo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 32 minutes, Guido George mouthed his way into the referee's book. The supporters of Huanqueros FC booed when Cañas F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Ikatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Justin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Oxel having to interfere. Anastasio Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Figueroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Jacobo Justin's late challenge caught a Cañas F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Justin helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Huanqueros FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Justin. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido George stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cañas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Guido George came free, but Venancio Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes Huanqueros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lino Figueroa who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Huanqueros FC's Guido George got a free kick in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Alejo Jurgi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañas F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejo Jurgi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Calixto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Baristo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Anastasio Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 85 minutes into the game, Fridrich Potisepp threw the ball into play from the sideline. Huanqueros FC's Rolando Jaume quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosio Lapurdi during the 86th minute.
