After some careless play in the Rahué FC defense, Cirilo Urtzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Lehior. The Rahué FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Lehior should have stopped the shot. Rahué FC's Hilario Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Urtzi in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Rahué FC's Hilario Lehior got control of the ball when Ulises Ihazintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clodoveo Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Rahué FC's Hilario Lehior proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Rahué FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ariel Gaufred managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rahué FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Gaufred was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Onofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Gaufred to make the kick off. Ulises Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hilario Lehior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Lehior was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
