In the 9th minute of the match, Benigno Lonzo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgard Berdaitz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cacarotos FC's Tancredo Clavijo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 minutes, Erasmo Botello made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Escobar 's Edgard Berdaitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erasmo Botello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Augusto Asur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacarotos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Asur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Escobar booed when Cacarotos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Botello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justino Guipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Adan Piorno hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Narciso Udalaitz from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Edgard Berdaitz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cacarotos FC fully deserved thier win.
