Spectators: 7214 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) FC Cogermans's Arturo Mendez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomás Benvido was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Arturo Mendez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arturo Mendez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 8th minute Placido Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Damian Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Toli in the 10th minute of play forced FC Cogermans's goalkeeper Jose Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Toli took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Ganix. Jose Ganix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 14 minutes, Evaristo Abaurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cogermans and the Cartón y justicia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cartón y justicia booed when FC Cogermans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 16th minute of the match Evaristo Abaurre completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Evaristo Abaurre a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jose Ganix stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Toli's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Placido Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Ganix having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Evelio Paublo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartón y justicia and the FC Cogermans players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Evelio Paublo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Toli, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute, Placido Toli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Placido Toli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Toli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Placido Toli made the kick off in the second half. Arturo Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Damian Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 68 minutes of play, Cartón y justicia's Placido Toli made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Ganix was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st match minute, Cartón y justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Rivas to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Gustau hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Placido Toli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Jose Ganix made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cogermans's zone, Placido Toli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Ganix came out of the goal and Placido Toli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Mendez in the 86th minute of the match. Marcos Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Cartón y justicia's Placido Toli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jose Ganix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Benicio Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cartón y justicia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cartón y justicia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
