After 10 played minutes Armando Costante rounded Estrellas del Sur's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. 16 minutes into the game, Lucas Gipuzkoa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodrigo Umbruso. Lucas Gipuzkoa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After 20 minutes, Enzo Abadie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrellas del Sur and the Mendoza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Estrellas del Sur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mendoza:s goal. The goalkeeper, Rodrigo Umbruso, was totally fooled by Mendoza's Marciano Nicholas, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 34 minutes into the match, Mendoza's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Cordario came free, but Aldo Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Estrellas del Sur defense, Lucas Gipuzkoa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Umbruso. The Estrellas del Sur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Umbruso should have stopped the shot. Armando Costante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodrigo Umbruso came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Costante slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Gipuzkoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cornelio Gurutz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrellas del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Gurutz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Fe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Umbruso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Costante's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Rodrigo Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Gipuzkoa in the 62nd minute of play. Luciano Canor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rodrigo Umbruso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Umbruso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Costante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Fe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Cordario in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Lucas Gipuzkoa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Umbruso was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Rodrigo Umbruso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Gipuzkoa in the 78th minute of the match. Rodrigo Umbruso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Gipuzkoa's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The supporters of Mendoza booed when Estrellas del Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Palban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Nicholas struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rodrigo Umbruso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendoza. After having played for 87 minutes, Armando Costante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mendoza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Costante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Estrellas del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Gipuzkoa came free, but Rodrigo Umbruso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Umbruso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Costante in the 94th minute of play. Mendoza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
