In the 8th minute, Oscar Leocadio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teo Joachim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Ruperto Crispo made a huge save. Christian Bergfeldt came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Barreal's Anastasio Tabby. But to his dismay, Anastasio Tabby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Leocadio in the 19th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Christian Bergfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal's goalkeeper Ruperto Crispo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Enrique Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes in the game, Enrique Calvino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ruperto Crispo having to interfere. Boca Juniors's Christian Bergfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Mino in the 32nd minute of play. Teo Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 44 minutes Barreal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florentino Orlin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Boca Juniors's Florentino Orlin to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruperto Crispo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal's goalkeeper Ruperto Crispo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enrique Calvino to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruperto Crispo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Calvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute Enrique Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Crispo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Teo Joachim sped through Barreal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruperto Crispo. Filomeno Bonadona hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes, Barreal's Marco Walme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Bergfeldt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barreal reached it. Ruperto Crispo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Calvino in the 66th minute of the match. Enrique Calvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Crispo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Barreal's zone, Enrique Calvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Crispo came out of the goal and Enrique Calvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Barreal booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Bergfeldt was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Anastasio Tabby capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anastasio Tabby really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After some careless play in the Barreal defense, Enrique Calvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Crispo. The Barreal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Crispo should have stopped the shot. If Teo Joachim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teo Joachim struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ruperto Crispo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. After a defensive mix-up in Barreal's zone, Enrique Calvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Crispo came out of the goal and Enrique Calvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Barreal were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Boca Juniors side.
