The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Los Pibes's Javier Satordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Oskitz in the 25th minute of play. If Orlando Efren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Satordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Lesardo in the 32nd minute of play. Nereo Resto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Rosario having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Vincent to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Nereo Resto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Nereo Resto came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Los Pibes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Resto couldn't finish the play. Javier Satordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Satordi having to interfere. Javier Satordi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Everardo Oskitz in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Branca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Uzuri. Nereo Resto struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Danilo Rosario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Pibes. 84 minutes into the match, Los Pibes's goalkeeper Javier Satordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Oskitz. Danilo Rosario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Resto's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Resto in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo Rosario saved Branca F.C. from getting behind. Cristobal Quinteros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Danilo Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Dionisio Uzuri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Los Pibes were the better team. Los Pibes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
