The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trenel La Pampa's Anacleto Esdras got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ermegildo Arnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute, Ermegildo Arnas made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Froila. Trenel La Pampa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Trenel La Pampa's Ermegildo Froila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Trenel La Pampa from getting a goal against them. If Ermegildo Arnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Emenon in the 20th minute of play forced Trenel La Pampa's goalkeeper Ermegildo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Froila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Arnas in the 21st minute. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Ermegildo Arnas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Filiberto Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ermegildo Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Filiberto Nesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cotagaita FC and the Trenel La Pampa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filiberto Nesto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Ermegildo Arnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Gutierrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ermegildo Froila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Froila made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ermegildo Arnas sent off a good shot on target. Jonatan Loramendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Froila made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Ermegildo Arnas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cotagaita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 46 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Arnas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ermegildo Froila, 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermegildo Arnas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cotagaita FC's Arnoldo Emenon got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute, Arnoldo Emenon made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Froila. Trenel La Pampa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 59 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Emenon notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Trenel La Pampa's Ermegildo Froila. Ermegildo Froila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Gutierrez struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ermegildo Froila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotagaita FC. Ermegildo Froila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Arnas's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Ermegildo Arnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filiberto Nesto scored 8-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ermegildo Froila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Anacleto Esdras fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edgardo Garaile, passed just outside the right post. In the 81st minute of the match, Anacleto Esdras got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgardo Garaile was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Trenel La Pampa's zone, Ermegildo Arnas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Froila came out of the goal and Ermegildo Arnas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Froila having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Filiberto Nesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgardo Garaile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Esquipula in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermegildo Arnas in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Froila saved Trenel La Pampa from getting behind. Cotagaita FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
