When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Gaspar Veto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aquilino Mancio to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Mendebal in the 20th minute of play forced Villafañe's goalkeeper Florian Hryc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Capioviciño AFC's goalkeeper Aquilino Mancio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommi Valckx. In the 35th minute, Mateo Shantala made a precise shot to the right of Florian Hryc. Villafañe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Villafañe's Gaspar Veto got a free kick in the 40th minute. Mateo Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Hryc having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Villafañe's zone, Mateo Shantala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Hryc came out of the goal and Mateo Shantala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Gaspar Veto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the game, Leonides Mendebal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florian Hryc. Leonides Mendebal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateo Shantala got free with Florian Hryc in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mateo Shantala scored 1-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florian Hryc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capioviciño AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
