The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Augusto Galoer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sagrado Corazón F. C.'s Constantino Leizarraga. Constantino Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Fénix F.C getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vicente Erauso hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Fénix F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Mikeldi came free, but Marcos Bartoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fénix F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Constantino Mikeldi 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Hafız Soysaltürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Leizarraga having to interfere. Marcos Bartoli was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Sergio Txerran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sergio Txerran really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 29 minutes into the game, Omar Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Marcos Bartoli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Augusto Galoer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes of play, Fénix F.C's Wang Wei made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantino Leizarraga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Augusto Galoer hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Marcos Bartoli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Mikeldi went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the match, Raimundo Mikeldi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Bartoli. Fénix F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Mikeldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Constantino Mikeldi fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagrado Corazón F. C.'s protests and gave Constantino Mikeldi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fénix F.C booed when Sagrado Corazón F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Mikeldi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Constantino Leizarraga throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hafız Soysaltürk in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 58 minutes Sagrado Corazón F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augusto Galoer who took care of the corner kick. 59 minutes into the match, Fénix F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Mikeldi came free, but Marcos Bartoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantino Leizarraga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hafız Soysaltürk in the 62nd minute of play. C.'s Raimundo Mikeldi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Bartoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, Sagrado Corazón F. C.'s Constantino Mikeldi made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Bartoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Rocha in the 80th minute of play. Domingo Platon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Wang Wei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Fénix F.C defense, Omar Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Bartoli. The Fénix F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Bartoli should have stopped the shot. Apolo Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Leizarraga having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Wang Wei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fénix F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Wang Wei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Leizarraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sagrado Corazón F. C.'s zone, Wang Wei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantino Leizarraga came out of the goal and Wang Wei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sagrado Corazón F. C. had won after a very even match.
