With a little luck, Saladas's Ismael Frans got control of the ball when Anacleto Hegoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudio Berasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Simon Ignado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Frans made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Anacleto Hegoi sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, one of Saladas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saladas. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, C.A. Catamarca's Primitivo Hats got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ismael Frans. C.A. Catamarca made a substitution. Gilberto Miliano replaced Anacleto Hegoi. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

C.A. Catamarca's Adriana Pepillo was substituted for Justo Galeno. 54 minutes into the game, Rolando Magdaleno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ismael Frans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rolando Magdaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Catamarca's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Magdaleno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Frans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Julio Cordaryal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Saladas's Ceferino Sugar got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Rolando Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Frans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saladas's Ismael Frans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Magdaleno in the 69th minute of play. When Claudio Berasko came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Saladas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Berasko couldn't finish the play. Ismael Frans came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Catamarca's Gilberto Miliano. But to his dismay, Gilberto Miliano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ismael Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Miliano in the 85th minute of play forced Saladas's goalkeeper Ismael Frans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
