Joaquin Claude charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 30thth minute of the game Gervasio Balesio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arbolito's Victor Müller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Arbolito's Melchor Ovando got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mamina FC's Isaias Pitin got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Arbolito defense, Joaquin Claude kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Müller. The Arbolito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Müller should have stopped the shot. Mamina FC's Generoso Txomin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mamina FC from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mamina FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquin Hondo was slow to take the kick. During this time Arbolito's players had a chance to rest.
