The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joaquin Sazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Gorri in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, LOS MIL RAYITAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Berbiz to maneuver through the defense. Vikings's Antonio Demario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Elivareo in the 14th minute of play. Gonzalo Figueroa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Joaquin Sazon came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikings's Prudencio Fernandez. But to his dismay, Prudencio Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Adan Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Gorri hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Antonio Demario was a little too slow when Alberto Elivareo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-2. LOS MIL RAYITAS's Joaquin Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Fernandez in the 44th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, LOS MIL RAYITAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Berbiz to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Sazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Fernandez in the 46th minute of the match. The LOS MIL RAYITAS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vikings were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Alberto Elivareo made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Gorri in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Sazon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vikings's Jacinto Gorri came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Joaquin Sazon had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Urbano Uzuri kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Eriberto Rafel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Sazon. LOS MIL RAYITAS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joaquin Sazon was a little too slow when Jacinto Gorri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-3. Hermengildo Mincho struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Joaquin Sazon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikings. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Prudencio Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikings's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Sazon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 72 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Birjaio. LOS MIL RAYITAS's Joaquin Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Fernandez in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of LOS MIL RAYITAS booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Galoer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Sazon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prudencio Fernandez went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vikings eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
