When Angelino Eliu came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelino Eliu couldn't finish the play. Argentinos Juniors's Ceferino Evangelista got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Joanes was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Artemio Pacifico capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artemio Pacifico really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Angelino Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Orland having to interfere.
