Tomas Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Julian Podwojski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rodrigo Mederi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Bernal charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Bernal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Martin de San Juan's Victor Bernal got a free kick in the 7th minute. A collision led to Medanitos getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Anibal Sasoin hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Vinicio Cuarto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de San Juan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Cuarto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Cuarto in the 13th minute of play forced Medanitos's goalkeeper Thijs de Jaeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Medanitos's Aćim Višekruna was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodrigo Mederi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julian Podwojski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rodrigo Mederi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Podwojski might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Mederi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Podwojski ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the match, Constantino Erramu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thijs de Jaeger. Medanitos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantino Erramu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Ilazki got free with Rodrigo Mederi in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anibal Sasoin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rodrigo Mederi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medanitos. After the first half San Martin de San Juan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Constantino Erramu made the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Mederi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmelo Ilazki went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Medanitos's Carmelo Ilazki got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Ilazki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Podwojski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Medanitos's Carmelo Ilazki got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Ilazki in the 90th minute of play forced San Martin de San Juan's goalkeeper Rodrigo Mederi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play, Medanitos's Julian Podwojski made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Mederi was left in no man's land by his defense there!
