After some careless play in the Pereyra defense, Damaso Pabla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Iratxo. The Pereyra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Iratxo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Depo Beltràn booed when Pereyra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Bazil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Douglas Bäcklin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Depo Beltràn's Eriberto Loco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Furtado in the 37th minute of play. Hipolito Orzaize could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Emanuel Iratxo made a huge save. When Douglas Bäcklin came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Depo Beltràn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Bäcklin couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Furtado made a kick off. Pereyra's Freddy Bazil came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Eriberto Loco had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Pereyra's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Bäcklin came free, but Emanuel Iratxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
