The wind increased when Gaston Jerrald made the kick off in the second half. If Maximo Selmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Selmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Moura having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Vespucio's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Jerrald came free, but Adan Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Maximo Selmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Confesor during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, one of Vespucio:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vespucio. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Malboro. Edgard Dantae stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adan Christobal. 2-0. Joel Salvadore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adan Christobal. Vespucio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Matias Xabier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vespucio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malboro the free kick. The supporters of Malboro booed when Vespucio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Xabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Malboro were victorious despite being under pressure from Vespucio for much of the match.
