The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Conrado Matro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Mammarella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Mammarella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Ederono in the 10th minute of play. Augusto Mammarella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Ederono in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Ferro Carril Oeste booed when Chaguaral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Txartiko scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Mammarella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ferro Carril Oeste booed when Chaguaral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Ferro Carril Oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Txartiko to maneuver through the defense. Teodosio Emmanuel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Victor Delamotte. Arnoldo Bladi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Teodosio Emmanuel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arnoldo Bladi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teodosio Emmanuel firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Bladi got free with Teodosio Emmanuel in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnoldo Bladi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Teodosio Emmanuel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Ferro Carril Oeste were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Ederono made a kick off. Augusto Mammarella was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Conrado Matro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. Teodosio Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Joseph in the 55th minute of play. If Arnoldo Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernabe Boniel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teodosio Emmanuel. Ferro Carril Oeste's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Teodosio Emmanuel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Bladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Bladi notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Ferro Carril Oeste's Teodosio Emmanuel. Teodosio Emmanuel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute Conrado Matro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Mammarella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Arnoldo Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaguaral's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Bladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Emmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Ferro Carril Oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Ederono to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ferro Carril Oeste eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
