Guido Bautistas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Omar Ekialde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 9th minute, Juan Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Bautista in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omar Ekialde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 22 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Lucado came free, but Omar Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Guido Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Ekialde stood somewhat misplaced when Raimundo Lucado came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Yala AFC's Emanuel Eskuin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Fagondo in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Santos was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Benedicto Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Argentinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Lucado came free, but Omar Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Argentinos Juniors defense, Guido Bautista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Ekialde. The Argentinos Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Ekialde should have stopped the shot. Hilario Osorio hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Guido Bautista put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Omar Ekialde. Raimundo Lucado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Ekialde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Guido Bautista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argentinos Juniors's Omar Ekialde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Benedicto Santos fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos Juniors's protests and gave Benedicto Santos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Argentinos Juniors getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Benedicto Santos hit a great ball. Omar Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Lucado in the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Guido Bautista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yala AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Bautista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Lucado in the 91st minute of the match. Omar Ekialde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Yala AFC fully deserved thier win.
