Benito Gartxot ran over to the corner to take the kick. 32 minutes into the match, DOS LOBOS's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Mercurio came free, but Augusto Perutxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, IndependienteFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Emenon to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nereo Mercurio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Perutxo was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After some careless play in the DOS LOBOS defense, Nereo Mercurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Perutxo. The DOS LOBOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Perutxo should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nereo Mercurio made a kick off. Augusto Perutxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. IndependienteFC's Nereo Mercurio got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, IndependienteFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Aires came free, but Albano Gutierrez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Perutxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Mercurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64thth minute of the game Nereo Mercurio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DOS LOBOS's Augusto Perutxo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute Nereo Mercurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Perutxo was a little too slow when Nereo Mercurio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-2. IndependienteFC were furious when Siro Bilintx was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for IndependienteFC! Albano Gutierrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Aires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 91 minutes, Americo Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IndependienteFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Sidro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Albano Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
