The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 4 in the game by Generoso Esdras from a close distance when the talented 董坚松 managed to make a qualified save. Esc de Futbol GyE 1908's players were relieved. If Generoso Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Octavio Artal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hernandarias booed when Esc de Futbol GyE 1908 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernandarias's Octavio Artal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Joanes in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Hernandarias's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Corderro came free, but Octavio Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esc de Futbol GyE 1908's Emanuel Joanes got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Gabriel Indar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Generoso Esdras struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. 董坚松 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hernandarias. Octavio Artal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Hernandarias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Perico to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Lluciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hernandarias's zone, Emanuel Joanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Artal came out of the goal and Emanuel Joanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, Constantino Palermo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Hernandarias's Teo Raulo tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute of the match, Emanuel Joanes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Octavio Artal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 68th minute of the match Esc de Futbol GyE 1908 got a corner. Hernandarias's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 邵延宁 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emanuel Gonzalez made a great header on Esc de Futbol GyE 1908's corner, it was just that Hernandarias's Octavio Artal managed to reach the ball for a save. Octavio Artal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Corderro in the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Higinio Corderro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Higinio Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Octavio Artal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Joanes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Octavio Artal made a huge save.
