Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Everardo Banegas started the match with the kick off. Almafuerte's Rafael Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Banegas in the 10th minute of play. In the 16thth minute of the game Basilio Urdaspal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almafuerte's Rafael Brion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Urdaspal in the 18th minute of play forced Almafuerte's goalkeeper Rafael Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Basilio Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Hernan Mikolas put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Baltasar Hotz. Hernan Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rafael Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Banegas in the 28th minute of play. Rafael Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Argi charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Argi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Almafuerte booed when Shaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Argi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Mikolas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basilio Urdaspal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rafael Brion firmly grabbed it by the left post. Baltasar Hotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Mikolas in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Horacio Gar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Hotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basilio Urdaspal got free with Rafael Brion in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justo Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Almafuerte booed when Shaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Hernan Mikolas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justo Misael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Hotz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justo Misael went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Everardo Banegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Banegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basilio Urdaspal charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basilio Urdaspal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Shaqui getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Basilio Urdaspal hit a great ball. Baltasar Hotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Hotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Paulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Almafuerte had played much better football throughout.
