Melquiades Tiniebra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Quin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Dalmai scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Tiniebra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Merlolaureles's Maximino Betadur got control of the ball when Venancio Servando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Esteban Quin made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Tiniebra. Santo de Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Quin in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Tiniebra saved Santo de Merlo from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Santo de Merlo's Dario Caitano got a free kick in the 27th minute. Venancio Servando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Maximino Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Esteban Quin notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Santo de Merlo's Melquiades Tiniebra. Melquiades Tiniebra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guido Ixaka hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Esteban Quin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Tiniebra was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Mariano Suero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melquiades Tiniebra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteban Quin went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Merlolaureles were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Esteban Quin made the kick off in the second half. Esteban Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Tiniebra having to interfere. Merlolaureles's Mariano Suero got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Honorato Gomez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Merlolaureles booed when Santo de Merlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Peruanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 74 in the game by Esteban Quin from a close distance when the talented Melquiades Tiniebra managed to make a qualified save. Santo de Merlo's players were relieved. Melquiades Tiniebra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Quin in the 78th minute of play. Esteban Quin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Tiniebra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dario Caitano charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Caitano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santo de Merlo getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dario Caitano hit a great ball. With splendid footwork Esteban Quin arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-5 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. Esteban Quin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Tiniebra having to interfere. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Esteban Quin sped through Santo de Merlo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melquiades Tiniebra. If Esteban Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Merlolaureles left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santo de Merlo.
