Daniel Teodorescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Mateo Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Cecilio Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Angeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Honesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Celipe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonifacio FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Angeles the free kick. Ciriaco Celipe kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a little luck, Bonifacio FC's Mateo Tello got control of the ball when Cecilio Honesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cecilio Honesto hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Diego Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gogo Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Bermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gogo Lando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Los Angeles booed when Bonifacio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Savion didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cecilio Honesto came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Los Angeles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Honesto couldn't finish the play. Bonifacio Escobar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Angeles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Gogo Lando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Ruy in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justo Bermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gogo Lando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Ruy in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Celipe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gogo Lando. Ciriaco Celipe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Los Angeles's Albano Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mariano Estefan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Ruy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Lando having to interfere. Gogo Lando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Celipe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albano Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Tello having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Diego Ruy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 94 minutes into the match, Los Angeles's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Celipe came free, but Gogo Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
