If Domingo Juvenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Abascal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Ambrosio Montay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Erize FC's Ambrosio Montay got control of the ball when Delmiro Abascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Sol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ambrosio Montay having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Ambrosio Montay successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 29th minute Domingo Juvenal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Rosario scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Silbestre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Abascal was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Richie hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, Amor Canalla 1889 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Pastor Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosio Montay came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Amor Canalla 1889's Pastor Peyo. But to his dismay, Pastor Peyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ambrosio Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Juvenal, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Delmiro Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Amor Canalla 1889 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Camilo Petrigai hit a great ball. Amor Canalla 1889 made a substitution. Teofilo Cresitobalo replaced Domingo Juvenal. In the 84th minute, Camilo Petrigai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Erize FC's Fernan Hechter tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute Delmiro Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmiro Abascal might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrosio Montay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delmiro Abascal ran back to his position shaking his head. Ambrosio Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ambrosio Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Peyo in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Amor Canalla 1889 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
