The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Luix got free with Teofilo Iruinea in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Cordarryl in the 22nd minute of the match. Jan-Erik Peternell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Teofilo Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Dalmacio Kaiet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. C.A.HUMBOLDT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmacio Kaiet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. C.A.HUMBOLDT's Eduardo Macario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Kaiet in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Antonio Galtero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorio Luix took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teofilo Iruinea. Catúa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eduardo Macario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Luix was the one to do the kick off. Nicolas Resto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.A.HUMBOLDT's Eduardo Macario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.HUMBOLDT from getting a goal against them. Jan-Erik Peternell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Iruinea having to interfere. Teofilo Iruinea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Olivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute of the match, Tiburcio Cordarryl got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eduardo Macario was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 71st minute of the match, Nicolas Resto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eduardo Macario saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 72nd match minute, C.A.HUMBOLDT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Dalmacio Kaiet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Nicolas Resto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Rafael Matxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Macario having to interfere. Honorio Luix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Teofilo Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
