Mauricio Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Txerran, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Mauricio Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Ortle in the 18th minute of play. If Zeledon Bingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The supporters of Casaffousth booed when RiverPlate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Sadurni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casaffousth were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Ortle to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes RiverPlate got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Gaur. Casaffousth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Casaffousth succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though RiverPlate had controlled the match.
