In the 5th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Cristos to maneuver through the defense. Rafinha Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Mantzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Justino Umbruso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Joaquin Ranolfo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Joaquin Ranolfo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of sin barreraxsfc booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Ranolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafinha Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Laurgain in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, River Plate's Leandro Lizbeth seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leandro Lizbeth the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of River Plate protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leandro Lizbeth had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 19th minute, Leandro Lizbeth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Laurgain in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafinha Leal saved River Plate from getting behind. Rafinha Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Quintun in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Mantzio in the 24th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Rafinha Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafinha Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Laurgain in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Victoriano Tanio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute Benito Mantzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Victoriano Tanio made a precise shot to the right of Laureano Perez. sin barreraxsfc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Benito Mantzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafinha Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Mantzio in the 57th minute of play. River Plate's Joaquin Ranolfo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Gilberto Pabla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafinha Leal. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Pabla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. River Plate's Rafinha Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. Dionisio Cristos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Victor Telmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Joaquin Ranolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Ranolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Tanio, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in sin barreraxsfc's zone, Joaquin Ranolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Perez came out of the goal and Joaquin Ranolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Ranolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. River Plate were victorious despite being under pressure from sin barreraxsfc for much of the match.
