An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Mundo in the 33rd minute of play forced Chillar's goalkeeper Leonardo Llin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Taquello AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nicanor Castel hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chillar's Dionisio Elivareo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Siro Fix struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gaspar Tulio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chillar. In the 42nd minute, Douglass Grimes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Salbatore to make the kick off.
