The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Capitan Homero got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Maria. Cecilio Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Asier in the 10th minute of play. Bastiaan Reintjes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Jerano having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Ska Reggae Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capitan Homero:s goal. Capitan Homero's Bastiaan Reintjes got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Nicanor Sandalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Capitan Homero's goalkeeper Cecilio Gaitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Dimo. Igor Jerano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastiaan Reintjes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Nicanor Sandalio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Israel Frans kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Wilfredo James kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cecilio Gaitan. That made the score 1-2 in the 31 minute of play. Igor Jerano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastiaan Reintjes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bastiaan Reintjes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Igor Jerano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Ska Reggae Team got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo James. In the 41st minute of the match Capitan Homero got a corner. Ska Reggae Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herminio Bitxintxo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Herminio Bitxintxo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Igor Jerano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastiaan Reintjes in the 44th minute of play forced Ska Reggae Team's goalkeeper Igor Jerano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastiaan Reintjes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo James, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 54th minute, Bastiaan Reintjes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Capitan Homero's Valentin Maria got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capitan Homero's zone, Fabricio Madaleno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Gaitan came out of the goal and Fabricio Madaleno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. J.J J.J.'s shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Igor Jerano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bastiaan Reintjes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Igor Jerano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. J.J J.J.'s late challenge caught a Ska Reggae Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. J.J J.J. helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Capitan Homero getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. J.J J.J. hit a great ball. Bastiaan Reintjes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Capitan Homero's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Capitan Homero's Bastiaan Reintjes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Jerano. That made the score 1-4 after 75 minutes of play. Igor Jerano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastiaan Reintjes in the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Valentin Maria took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Igor Jerano to make any attempt to save it. Bastiaan Reintjes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valentin Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute of the match, Bastiaan Reintjes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Jerano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bastiaan Reintjes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Capitan Homero booed when Ska Reggae Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as J.J J.J. kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Jerano. That made the score 1-7 in the 94 minute of play. The Ska Reggae Team fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Capitan Homero were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
