Diego Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carolo Formerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Diego Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Formerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Raimundo Ariando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 27th minute, Rodrigo Aires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvestre Banegas's late challenge caught a Los Diablos Rojos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Banegas helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Sal in the 45th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos FC's goalkeeper Donato Obeko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Cosme was the one to do the kick off. Donato Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Bibiano in the 54th minute of play. Carolo Formerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Cosme in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Diego Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rodrigo Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carolo Formerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Los Diablos Rojos FC's Rene Maju was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carolo Formerio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carolo Formerio stood somewhat misplaced when Diego Cosme came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 71 minute. After 76 played minutes Inspector de Billeteras got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Loreto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Cosme in the 78th minute of play forced Inspector de Billeteras's goalkeeper Carolo Formerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Diego Cosme sped through Inspector de Billeteras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carolo Formerio. When Xalvador Maimo came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Los Diablos Rojos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xalvador Maimo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Diego Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, Los Diablos Rojos FC's Raimundo Ariando made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carolo Formerio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Cosmes short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Carolo Formerio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Los Diablos Rojos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
