The crowd rose to their feet as Ombú FC's Rigoberto Mero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enzo Guillem. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. If Stanislav Vykoukal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Paulino Cordaryal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Arotza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, one of Ombú FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Paulino Cordaryal went to the wrong direction when Igor Pueblo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Zacarias Barrionuevo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Leonides Arotza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Paulino Cordaryal made a huge save. Froilan Lluciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Guillem having to interfere. In the 75th minute of the match Froilan Lluciano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enzo Guillem showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rigoberto Mero struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Enzo Guillem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ombú FC. Timoteo Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Leonides Arotza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ombú FC's goalkeeper Paulino Cordaryal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Mero in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Guillem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Ombú FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
